The Homo Sapiens Dark Crystal fountain pen is a fusion of resin and lava dust from Mt Etna.
The pen’s distinctive and contemporary elegance is given by the black barrel, reminiscent of volcano slopes, and other dark components such as the metalwork and 18kt. ruthenium plated Giotto nib.

Description

Even the smallest components of the pen require our artisan’s utmost care and attention to detail. The barrel of the Homo Sapiens Dark Crystal is made of transparent smoked resin and is embossed with the name of the collection. The cap features the iconic clip made in shiny black brass (a result achieved through the process of electroplating), and the Visconti logo that stands out against its bright ivory background. The logo on the very end of the cap echoes the dark colour of the writing instrument but can be replaced and personalised thanks to our Mypensystem.

Each lava pen is made from small parts, up to 8 cm long, which are formed and aged before undergoing special processes done with custom made machines. All the metalwork and transparent components are polished by hand, while the resin and basaltic lava parts are processed to give a characteristic leather/soft sensation to the touch.

Deliveries are guaranteed from Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Non-EU countries are not subject to IVA/VAT payment on purchases. As soon as payment is authorised, orders will be dispatched within 5 working days.

Returns and refunds

You can return any product purchased on our eCommerce within 10 days from the date of delivery of the goods, as provided for by articles 64 – 67 of Legislative Decree no. 206/2005, known as the Italian Consumer Code.
The right to return a product is totally void if the returned product

• is not intact, for the absence, for example, of integral elements of the product (box, warranty and various attachments)
• has been damaged for reasons other than transport from the shop to the consumer and not previously reported

Products personalised with the MyPenSystem can also be returned.
Returns can only be sent from the country from which the order was placed.

If your return does not meet the above criteria, we will not be able to provide a refund and the package will be sent back to your address. If you would like more information on the conditions for exercising the right of withdrawal, please consult our legal area.
All costs resulting from the return of the product shall be borne by the Customer.

All Visconti products are made in Italy by our skilful craftsmen in our Florence workshops.

Each product undergoes manual processing and is therefore slightly different from others. Each piece we produce is therefore one of a kind.
