Mecca
Visconti, always attentive in giving importance with its creations to aspects and themes of our living, has dedicated the Mystic Pens collection to all the religions of the world. Islam is one of them, so we thought to give a tribute to the symbolic city where Muhammad was born: Mecca.

THE BLACK STONE
The Black Stone is a rock set inside the Kaaba of Mecca. In their anti-clockwise ṭawāf around the Kaaba during the ritual of the Hajj, pilgrims pause briefly while kissing the Black Stone, in imitation of what the Prophet Muhammad did during his second pilgrimage after the Hegira.
INSPIRATION: THE KAABA
The shape of the pen recalls the architecture of the Kaaba. Koranic verses in Arabic decorate the barrel and the cap, and their graphic features make the pen extremely elegant. The lettering is inspired by the Kiswa, the precious black cloth that covers the Kaaba with its gold lettering: when it is lifted up we can see the original structure of the Kaaba, just as in the pen rings. The clip, with its balancing device, is inspired by the silver set Kaaba Black Stone recalling the human eye.
