SYMBOLISM OF THE GODS

Greek mythology teaches that the Olympian gods are immortal beings, governing the life and death of human beings. The personalities we selected represent different supernatural forces to be inspired by. Apollo is the god of the arts, music, poetry and science. He is the son of Zeus and the symbols that identify him are, among others, the Sun, the lyre, the bow and arrow. Zeus is King of the gods and ruler of Mount Olympus, god of the sky, lightning and atmospheric phenomena. The thunderbolt is his symbol for excellence. Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. Daughter of Zeus, her most recognisable symbols are the dove and the sparrow. Athena is the goddess of wisdom and classical culture. Born from the mind of her father Zeus, she is also called Glaukopis or “bright-eyed” in classical texts.

THE COLOURS

Brand new colors shaded with gold powder, each corresponding to a deity: brown for Apollo, blue for Zeus, purple for Aphrodite, and turquoise for Athena. Brown is the color of balance and strength. It is reminiscent of Apollo’s shining chariot of the Sun, drawn by four horses casting fire from their nostrils. Blue is a heavenly and divine color: Zeus was identified and associated with the color blue, a symbol of superiority and purity of soul. Purple represents Aphrodite in her femininity and is a symbol of temperance and devotion. Turquoise, on the other hand, is the color sacred to Athena, goddess “with light blue eyes” capable of discerning truth even in the darkest night.
